Next Stop, the Showtime Channel

A sign that Peyton is outgrowing Dora the Explorer.

“How come every time they pretend like they don’t know where to go?  They have a MAP!  They always have the MAP!  Map always tells them where to go.  Why don’t they just look at the map first? Dora needs a Tom-Tom.”

Yes, because doesn’t every preschool-age world explorer need a GPS system? Who doesn’t know that?

Frankly, she’s a little disenchanted with that felony-courting little thief of a fox too.

Sigh.

Goes by so fast doesn’t it?

First they point out the idiocy of the world around them. Then they start to point out the idiocy of their parents. It would be funny if they weren’t right most of the time.

That is so funny! Kids get smarter sooner than we realize it, don’t they? By the way, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! It sounds like you love blog carnivals just as much as I do, so I just wanted to let you know that I’m starting one of my own on Monday, August 18th, – with prize attached! Thought you might want to check it out. Hope to see you again soon!

That realization (the Map one) is something I hope for every day, and every day I am disappointed.

Tell Peyton that I’d kill for a map … I’m always getting lost.

Isn’t it scary when they start memorizing songs from movies. Juliette has seen Enchanted about four times now *mommy keeps forgetting where it is* … but she walks around the house singing “How does she know you love her?” On beat and in tune … now that’s scary.

Oh thank god a child finally acquired enough braincells to figure out that Dora is an imbecile. I had to endure an episode where Dora had to become a true princess to save Boots from a witch. There is only one way to become a true princess, and that is marry a prince. But oh no, Dora had to teach rocks to sing (???), turn winter to summer (um, ok) and bring the moon to the Queen and King (riiiiight). The children had no clue how INANE and MORONIC that episode was. At least Peyton has a clue.

Tell Peyton I have actually said that very same thing out loud to my granddaughter! And I am quite proud that my brain and hers are on the same wave length 🙂

    Yes…Dora DOES need a Tom-Tom!

    OMG! That is soooo FUNNY!

And by the way, what about Deigo (sp?) saving everything these days. First it was animals, then dinosaurs, now the moon. Is there anything this kid can’t save?
