Well, will you look at that! MY foot too, it’s an epidemic.

The Validation of Peter Mayhew, vol. 1

Pete and I were on the phone earlier tonight just chatting away about plans for the weekend since he’s not going to be coming down. He has a lot to do to get ready for our arrival next week and that is SO much more important than us hitting a dinner together. I have seen what this man can do to an apartment on his own, it’s hitting critical mass time if the kids and I don’t want to have to stay in a Motel 8.

Anyways.

So, there we are…just talking….and I tell him that we’re so busy tomorrow, but on Saturday not much is planned. So, our anniversary would have been free. No biggie.

He waits a minute.

“You know our anniversary is on Friday?”

“No, I mean our anniversary on the 28th, Pete.”

“The 28th is Friday.”

“It is?”

“Yeah, it is.”

Riiiight.

Of course it is. I knew that! He’s all doing the “Dance of the Man Who’s RIGHT!” You might not have seen it, it’s very very rare. But as my days seems to squash all together, I did totally flake on what the date was and when our anniversary was as well.

So, if you see me over the weekend and I’m limping a little, that would be from the removal of my own foot!

I love my husband, he’s the best gloater in town.

ps…But you will notice that in my previous post I said “Saturday is our anniversary, and he didn’t correct THAT one!”

Happy Anniversary! I love your "how we met" story — it is just so crazy and sweet (I think ALL love stories are sweet!)! I have to say, the first year we were married I said something about our anniversary on the 11th and it is really the 10th — I just misspoke – but my husband (even after many years of marriage) has NEVER let me live that down!!! I love him anyway!

Continued prayers for all of you.
