Peyton counters by grasping the edge of the blanket and whipping it away from her.
Peyton snaps: It’s MINE!
Rachael whines : Mommmm, Peyton just grabbed that blanket that belongs to her that I was using.
Me: Rachael, what was the KEY phrase in that sentence?
Pause.
Rachael: I was using?

No, no, no, get this…let’s say kid #1 is sitting on the couch watching tv, but decides to go to the bathroom. When kid # 1 gets up to do that, kid #2 AND kid #3 both scramble to get to that spot as fast as possible. Then, of course, kid # 1 comes back and demands that spot back, and a fight ensues.
It’s not like we don’t have enough couch space for everyone to sit.

My kids fight over everything, from Legos to who can pee furthest from the toilet. lad to know they’re not the only ones.
