This is the part where I don’t sing and you all thank me for it

Birthdays around here are YOUR day.

You get to pick what you want to do, where you want to eat, what sounds fun and how you want to do it.

Today?  This particular birthday?  We went to the Lego Store at Downtown Disney.

Lego Store at Downtown Disney

For my husband’s 37th birthday.

The Lego Store.

Because my husband’s inner child isn’t so inner. And frankly?  If you’ve never been to the Lego Store, you are MISSING out!

There is nothing that makes my mommy heart thump like watching my kids and their daddy play together.  Especially during this time when our family isn’t together as much as we should be, these days are treasured beyond measure.

So, happy birthday to my amazing husband who makes me laugh, who has helped me raise three of the best kids I never dreamed I’d be part of creating, who tells me there’s nothing I can’t do (and truly believes it), who makes me look forward to a lifetime of being his wife.

I loves ya, hon.

    Happy Birthday to hubby!

    We LOVE the LEGO store. We actually have a LEGO store in a nearby mall, as well as a “LEGOland Discovery Center” not too far from that.

    Happy birthday to him!

    We’ve never been to the Lego store. I think my boys would faint.

    Happy birthday to your hubby!

    I haven’t ever been to the Lego Store, that looks really neat. Something my lego loving hubby would love as well.

    We LOVE the Lego store, too, and it is always a must-do when we are at Disney. (Has he been to Lego Land, now THAT is fun!) We just found out that we are getting a Lego store here in the spring! My son will never have any money now…

    Happy Birthday!!!

    Hey, Happy Birthday Peter!!
    The Lego store sounds a much more sensible way to celebrate than partying like Anissa. No dead guys or abandoned children – just your own happy kids having a good time with you!

    Do you have to pay to get into Disney to go to downtown or is it separate? That’s the very last place I went when I was in Disney last year- the Lego store to stock up on gifts for my boys!!

    My hubby can’t wait until we plan a Legoland trip, I think he secretly wants to get a job there and build all the cool stuff! FUN!

    That is one thing on our “plus” side to possibly moving to California… near Lego Land! We’re all big kids at heart 🙂

    DH’s birthday was yesterday (Feb 22nd), we didn’t do anything nearly as fun, we were snowed in, but we did go out for supper as a family, and didn’t have to cook or clean, does that count?!

    Off to check out the phone thingy contest.

    The Lego Store looks totally awesome if you ask me! I’m 31, with 4 kids (as of today – Baby Duke was born today at 1:26 p.m.), and my husband would absolutely love it too! Too bad we live in East Texas, so that would be quite a ways to travel for one store…although I’m sure it would be very much worth it!

    @Melisa,

    I think he wants to make it a personal goal to hit every Lego epicenter in the world…the one that has the rides in CA? Our next stop.

    @Heather, Queen of Shake Shake,

    It’s funny to see how many grown up boys are wandering around all giddy! The kids have fun too.

    @Brittany,

    SO, you know there’s a Coke factory in ATL, we’ll have to make a trip there someday. *hint hint*

    @Adventures In Babywearing,

    It’s part of “Downtown Disney” which is free, except you spend every last dollar you have trying to get OUT. It’s awesome tho! We took the girls there during Peyton’s wish trip to the boutique where they make the girls up like princesses. You will HAVE to take Ivy someday, it’s a trip all in itself.
