I don’t know if I can really describe what yesterday was for me.
I cried…a lot.
I laughed…it was bittersweet.

The first two weeks of school have passed us by. Smoothly, with no big hurdles to jump…except that part where I got talked into accepting the role as a home room mom. Yeah.
It’s a tippy-toe dip back into my pre-Peyton-cancer life.

I am not one of those parents that bemoan the end of summer.  I love these kids, but I also love the moment when they step away from me towards the classrooms and I have some breathing room.  I met Monday morning with arms wide open and full of potential.
