It may be too late

There I am, watching a commercial about the BEST ENERGY DRINK EVER!

In fact, one of the greatest selling points is exactly how little time it takes to ingest.

Marketing geniuses, I say.

After a full sixty seconds of energy drink propoganda, they close it up by announcing that you can purchase this product at all “these fine stores“.

These fine stores include Walgreens, Rite-Aid and 7-11.

Seriously.

I muse aloud to Peter how I might not shop at the highest end stores in the world of consumerism, but even I don’t think 7-11 qualifies as a fine store.

These words come out of my husband’s mouth….wait for it!…”Ya know, I’ve been pretty impressed by some of the stuff you can find in 7-11.”

I have got to get this man out of Valley, Alabama.

He’s been there far too long.

I only WISH my town had a 7-11! What I wouldn’t give to be able to grab a slurpee at 2am!

At least they didn’t list Walmart as a “fine store”.

So, I was just wandering the aisles of Walgreen’s yesterday while waiting for a prescription re-fill. I have to say, they do have some unusual, unique items that surprised me!

The 7-11 down the street from me doesn’t smell too “fine.”

They must mean “fine” in the sense that you use it to reply when someone asks how you are. “I’m fine.” Not good, not great, not outstanding, but … fine.

We don’t have 7-elevens around here, but I worked at one in high school. What I wouldn’t give, most summer days, for a Slurpee!!

Um, I did ALL my Christmas shopping at Walgreens and 7-11. What’s not jolly about getting a free big gulp???

    :)

Boys are impressed with anyplace that sells beef jerkey and cheese in stick form.
